To swipe or not to swipe. The leading literary men of yore were hunky and tortured but not necessarily timeless. The Washington Post revisited four classic romantic heroes — Mr. Rochester, Heathcliff, Jay Gatsby and Mr. Darcy — through the ultimate modern-day lens: how they might present and fare on Tinder. The story features an interactive Tinder card for each character. The user can swipe left or right and decide if it is a good match. The swipes are tracked through a poll, so it shows how many people swiped one way or the other.
