2016

The town flooded in September 2016 as the Cashie River reached a flood stage of 15 feet. Two weeks later the town was hit by Hurricane Matthew, causing the the worst flood since 1999. The river reached a flood stage of 16.63 feet.

Hurricane Irene hit Windsor in August 2011, causing the flood stage to reach 12.14 feet.

Severe storms in the area hit Windsor just two weeks after Hurricane Earl passed. The town saw major flooding with the Cashie River reaching a flood stage of 15.69 feet.

In August 2004, Hurricane Gaston filled the Cashie River to a flood stage of 12.24 feet. The hurricane came only two weeks after Hurricane Charley and Tropical Storm Bonnie passed through Windsor.

Tropical Storm Allison resulted in major flooding around Windsor with the Cashie River reaching a flood stage of 12.07 on August 17, 2001.

In 1999, Hurrican Floyd hit Windsor hard. The Cashie River flood stage reached a record high of 18.52 feet. It was a "500-year flood," which means there is a 0.2 percent chance in a given year that Windsor would get that level of flooding.
